Behind the scenes of the float build 🔧✨
For almost a month we were drilling, sawing and screwing.
Based at @factorycampus , which basically became our second home.
36 LED panels installed.
Countless screws.
Even more wood.
A few late nights? Definitely.
And of course, in true carnival spirit, the final sprint happened in costume.
Not everything looked glamorous.
But that’s usually where the fun begins.

What. A. Day. 🎉🔥
Right in the middle of a foot group of around 80 people, it finally started rolling: the first digital and interactive float ever to appear in a Rosenmontag parade. 🕹✨
And not the only premiere —
it was also the first themed float not designed by the legendary @jacques_tilly_team .
For weeks we’ve been building, testing and tweaking this rolling “Bildungscasino” at @mirevi.de 🎉
Developing the interaction concept. Programming. Screwing things together.
Together with the @hsd_design team, who shaped the visual identity of the float. ❤️
After a very wet start (yes, we were completely soaked for a moment), it finally made its way through the city.
Loud. Crowded. A little surreal.
Projects like this don’t just happen.
They only work because a few people decide to really commit to them. 💪

A lot of inspiring talks, great people — and a chance to present “The Cubes” again.
The feedback was super positive, which made the whole trip even better.
There’s something special about this conference: it’s ACM-level, but the vibe is warm and familiar, and conversations happen naturally.
And outside the conference:
Portugal in December hits different. 🎄🏄♂️ 🌞
Lights everywhere, sunshine, and a quick stop at a Christmas market in Porto — not a bad way to end the trip.
