I’ve been lucky in my career to stand in a lot of rooms with a lot of incredible artists. But every once in a while there’s a moment where you realize you’re not just filming a performance — you’re witnessing a piece of music history.
Joe Ely has always been one of those artists.
This short piece is a small tribute to a musician whose songs, spirit, and Texas grit influenced generations of players and storytellers.
Grateful I had the chance to capture a few of those moments. Moments I wouldn’t have witnessed without Sharon and Marie opening their hearts to me. Together, making sure Joe’s story continues to be shared. Thank you both.
