Sometimes we spend so much time and energy thinking about where we want to go that we don’t notice where we happen to be 💛
Celebrating our 7 year anniversary like this, after taking a step back from organising events in Verona for a while, felt genuinely special. Seeing Porta Vescovo fill up during the day, friends arriving from different cities and countries, people dancing together from afternoon until midnight… it reminded us why we started doing this in the first place.
GRAZIE to everybody who showed up, travelled, danced, helped and shared the day with us.
We’ll carry this one with us for a long time.
And happy birthday again to Max & Ornella ✨

Guest: @patrickgibin (Mother Tongue, Sounds Familiar)

All Wrongs Reversed
All Music No Influence
By Sounds Familiar & Mother Tongue
Full weekend across Amsterdam and Berlin 🔈
The Sounds Familiar & Mother Tongue “All Wrongs Reversed” party for the opening of Basement Amsterdam was a beautiful one. Sold out, which is always a blessing! So good to catch up with the extended Amsterdam friends and family.
Berlin on Saturday was just as special. Big love to Refuge Worldwide and everyone behind Resident Advisor’s Dig Deep charity pop-up supporting War Child. We donated a bunch of Mother Tongue records, took part in a conversation on vinyl sustainability and played a 90 min set on the radio. Both the talk and the radio session are now up on the Refuge Worldwide website.
Music, conversations, community and good people. None of it taken for granted. Thank you to everyone who came through and listened. 🖤
Tonight is the big night ! It’s a great feeling to be back in Amsterdam presenting ALL WRONGS REVERSED just a few months after our party at Phonolake during ADE, when Sounds Familiar and Mother Tongue came together for one unforgettable night with Joaquin “Joe” Claussell and Patrick Gibin.
In the days that followed, the messages kept coming . People asking us to do it again.
So when the opportunity came to host a series at Basement, it felt like the right moment to revisit that energy, not as a one-off, but as a once a month.
We begin tonite with Patrick Gibin & Adriana Lucid, and we’ll return in March with Sadar Bahar and Ayn, April with Volcov and Calypso Steve, and then in May with dego and Margie.
We start with four dates and plan to return after the summer.
Very grateful to be part of the official opening of Basement, and ready to make it count!
We dance to ALL WRONGS REVERSED.
We condemn ALL WRONGDOING ✊
See you tonite at @basement.ams
Meet Patrick Gibin, founder of Mother Tongue Records.
Our next Glossary series explores the many facets of record label management and distribution through the eyes of label workers and founders from across the scene. These features drop in the run up to Dig Deep, RA’s pop-up charity record fair for War Child, which is taking place at Refuge Worldwide in Berlin on February 20th and 21st.
Head to our link in bio to read the interview on Doors Open and check out the RA event page for Dig Deep.
Next Friday, Feb 20!
We’re excited to finally start this residency. Sounds Familiar and Mother Tongue coming together, putting energy into something that feels right.
ALL WRONGS REVERSED is about our friends, our people, the extended family we’ve built over the years and from now on, once a month. No extras, just music.
Join us with PATRICK GIBIN and ADRIANA LUCID as we open the dance season together.
