Celebrating our 7 year anniversary like this, after taking a step back from organising events in Verona for a while, felt genuinely special. Seeing Porta Vescovo fill up during the day, friends arriving from different cities and countries, people dancing together from afternoon until midnight… it reminded us why we started doing this in the first place.
GRAZIE to everybody who showed up, travelled, danced, helped and shared the day with us.
We’ll carry this one with us for a long time.

Curated and hosted by Sounds Familiar’s founder Ornella Cicchetti this edition focuses on the sound, vision and craft behind one of the most respected labels pressing plants and distributors around. Patrick Gibin, DJ, producer and founder of Mother Tongue, and Andrea Pasini, Head of Production, DJ and long-time record collector will be spinning heat after heat in the intimate space of Sounds Familiar Store.
Together, we celebrate the new Joaquin Joe Claussell remixes of Patrick Gibin’s album Strength in Numbers a release that reflects Patrick’s unique approach to depth, soul and music culture.

Andrea is our head of production at Mother Tongue and a dedicated DJ and collector. His deep knowledge of records and attention to detail are a big part of what shapes how things are done in the pressing plant - from the way we press to how we listen.
Back home, Andrea holds down resident duties at our Mother Tongue parties and keeps the city’s airwaves moving with a regular show on Rocket Radio. His deep selections and strong sense of mood make him the perfect choice to set the tone for the night.
