I'm excited to share that I have been officially appointed as a new MIT faculty starting this September as an assistant professor at the
@mitmedialab . I am honestly speechless... this is beyond a dream come true.
With this position, I will start a new research group (in addition to co-directing the
@aha_medialab ) that will continue to push the frontier of human-AI interaction by asking bold, impossible (but important) questions and pioneering the new research area of "Cyborg Psychology."
I am committed to fostering and inspiring next-generation researchers in investigating and inventing new technologies that support human flourishing.
I want to thank my dear mentor, Pattie Maes
@pattie.maes , who has encouraged and mentored me to become the researcher I am today. I will be forever grateful for her support, especially when I told her during the pandemic that I wanted to stay at MIT after graduation and she encouraged me to pursue this path. That encouragement means everything to me, and I'll try my best to live up to it.
I also want to thank my mentors Hiroshi Ishii
