I’m from the Law but my aunt owned a diner in Haverhill for over 30 years and T used to pull up there since he was a kid w/ his mom. I’ll never forget one day I was at her house (my aunt) and she had a CD on her kitchen table. She said, “this rapper gave me this.” It was the very first Hood Politics that started the series.
I remember playing “Tales of Two Cities” and feeling something different. Seeing somebody from where I’m from actually living the dream I wanted to pursue made everything feel possible. I was only 12 maybe 13 years old.
Fast forward 24yrs and now I’m standing beside him, witnessing legendary moments like this in real time. Life really comes full circle.
