I am deeply grateful for the recognition by the
@bostonmusicawards and want to thank my supporters, peers, and well-wishers for voting me as 2023’s DJ of the year. From a young kid in Kenya 🇰🇪 who fell in love with DJing, I never imagined reaching these heights. I’m truly thankful for the opportunities this art form has given, from traveling the 🌍, working on a top radio station, and ignite the energy at various venues. This award is dedicated to my parents, whose unwavering support and sacrifices paved the way for my journey from Kenya to the United States. Their belief in me, even when they couldn’t fully grasp the magnitude of my dreams, let me chase them with no hesitation, I am forever in their debt. To my sons, I hope this inspires them to never give up on their passions. No matter your circumstance, hard work and humility will always lead to success, and if pops can do it imagine what YOU can do! I love you both. To my fellow nominees, you are all exceptional in what you do. DJs often go unnoticed & under appreciated, but we continue to push the culture and demand respect. I’m honored to be among you. Salute! #respectthedj. To my supporters, words cannot express my gratitude. Your votes and ongoing support brought literal tears to my eyes. Thank you isn’t enough, Im grateful for your support. Love u guys! To Kenya, we made history! 1st Kenyan to win a BMA…..Tuendelee! #djoftheyear #fromafricatotheworld #boston #bestdj #awardwinning #dj4eign
