HEARTH 2/28 welcomes Heather Harper, Cecropia, and Emmy Zero to the fire pit.
Heather Harper (
@ca11.11una ) is a singer, violinist, DJ, and sound artist. Her DJ sets fill dancefloors with atmosphere like smoke. Subsonic frequencies penetrate cells. Bodies move in mitochondrial pulse to bass music, dubstep, and trap.
Heather has played at Pittsburgh's most vibrant underground and experimental music events, including Misophonia, Sweet Escape, PS, Sweet Abyss, Dropout, and the Fire Lights festival, at venues including Collision, Club Pittsburgh, the Government Center, the 40th St Bridge, and HAVEN. She is a violinist in the grindcore project SHAME HOLE, and a DJ and visual artist in the duo Reverse Cowgirl.
Cecropia (
@everyone_i_fuck_is_gay ) is the experimental synth sound project of Luna Peaks, a multi-instrumentalist, community organizer, synth sorceress, and poet who has fallen deeply in love with her community and the people who share it.
Cecropia sets are a gift to the space, prepared for the show where they are played and rarely repeated.
Exploring themes of sex, fear, cathartic healing, and ecstatic dance, Cecropia holds the audience through a journey into temporary, intimate, and raw worlds birthed from the deepest vulnerable corners of her shadow, carrying her audience through with a commitment to love.
Expect to feel uncomfortable.
Expect to be cared for.
Expect to dance.
Emmy Zero (
@pathological.zero ) is not actually a DJ, she’s just transgender. Primarily a skate rat, she also designs lights and video projections, and dabbles in glitch art.
