Mai von 16 – 22 Uhr ab 16 Uhr: Slow Food von Parvez ab 17 Uhr: malerische Intervention von Dagmar Baumann ab 18.30 Uhr: Literarischer Musikabend von und mit Tim Krohn Santa Maria ist ein Ausstellungsprojekt, das die Themen Heimat, Grenze und Aufbruch miteinander verknüpft. In Sta. Maria im Val Müstair beispielsweise, begegnen sich alpine Stille, klösterliche Tradition und die Erfahrung von Grenze. Gleichzeitig öffnet der Name „Santa Maria” den Blick auf den Horizont und die Idee der Expedition: Die Fregatte, die einst in unbekannte Welten aufbrach, trug einen vertrauten Namen und verband Hoffnung, Neugier und Gewalt. Welche Bilder des Aufbruchs prägen uns bis heute und wie klingt ein Horizont, der immer auch eine Projektion ist? Maria selbst steht als Ikone für Reinheit, Trost und Fürsprache, aber sie ist auch eine Projektionsfläche patriarchaler Ideale. In Bildern, Körpern und Ritualen zeigt sich ein Spannungsfeld zwischen Verehrung und Instrumentalisierung. Diese Ambivalenz setzt sich bis in die Gegenwart fort: „Santa Maria” begegnet uns auf Verpackungen, Hotelschildern oder in Popsongs. Der Name wird zum Versprechen von Paradies, Reinheit und Abenteuer und macht zugleich die Mechanismen von Konsum und Vereinnahmung sichtbar. Glimpses from 'THE DIALOGUE No.36' that took place last Sun (26th April). A brilliant presentation by Koshika Yadava @skala.art.ky , who charted her journey from hardcore science to the art world; and to the space in between that her brushes bring to life. Gabriele Horndasch @gabrielehorndasch followed it up with her focus on Anagrams, turning words into a poetic performance. 'I, a Part of Us' Vernissage: 20 Mar 2026, 17.00  PH Lucerne, Senteria Foyer, Sentimatt 1, Lucerne An exhibition featuring works by 6th grade students from Beatrice Odermatt’s class at Grenzhof School, with Anðela Roncˇevic´; the 1st secondary class taught by Marc Wermelinger, Gersag School, with Nikola Ilic´; and the 3rd/4th class taught by Janine Saul, Rönnimoos School, with Parvez. The exhibition shows the works developed by the children in the studios with the artists Anðela Roncˇevic´, Nikola Ilic´ and Parvez. They explore questions of individuality, identity and belonging, and collectivity. It also features video interviews of students and the insights into the making of the exhibition. How does one read this crazy world when children in one of the safest countries #switzerland , begin to talk about wars, bombs and burning houses out of the blue? During the workshop 'Ich, ein teil von Wir' (I, a part of We) at the Pedagogische Hochschule, Luzern, i was taken by surprise when a child mentioned 'war' (Krieg) as the topic for a group exercise that i was trying to get them together for. I was even more surprised that this was the only topic, in a long list they had pooled, on which everyone agreed. They finally evolved it into a work about a world with / without wars (1.5 x 3 meters). The vividness of the depiction of the war suggests that even children here are not spared of tragic and horrible events being brought about in the world by a few power hungry men. Can there be a better award or medal than a bag of goodies and a thank you card from children? 🥰 That was the end of my intense 5 days workshop with children for a very relevant, beautiful and sensitive project 'Ich, ein teil von wir' (I, a part of We), at the Pedadgogische Hochschule, Luzern @phluzern Beside being rewarded with the energy the children bring, the fun we had together, the games we played, these amazing children, bubbling with ideas ended up creating a huge body of work, which will be displayed from 20th of March at PH Luzern. My heartfelt thanks to the children and their teachers Janine, Lea and Corine, for this beautiful gift. Last four days just flew by. Such a pleasure working with an amazingly talented and motivated group of children from classes 3rd and 4th. My workshop at Pedagodic Hochschule, Luzern ends tomorrow. The incredible works made the children will be shown at the Pedagogy Hochschule, Luzern @phluzern later in March. My workshop is a part of a beautiful and very sensitive project titled 'Ich, ein teil von wir' ('I, a part of we'), where we explore this concept and what does it mean to be a part of a larger humanity. @gabyfierz @mathiaswalther.ch #art #exploration #workshop #children #community
