Connecting classroom to career... this Spring, our 7th grade students have participated in their choice of career-centered field trips with community partners who have generously given an in-depth view of their industries. A group visited our partners at @cfastarkville to learn about the food service industry, the franchise business model, and how things get done behind the scenes in the kitchen.

Our students were so excited to be able to drop their eggs at Davis Wade Stadium to test the âsafety devicesâ designed by our winning students from each team! The studentsâ âsafety devicesâ proved to be pretty successful with only having a few minor scratches to the shell of the egg. We had a great time watching and the students had a great time getting to test their âsafety devicesâ! đ

This past week, our students in the GrOW classroom have been learning about wildlife. On Wednesday, some of our students were able to see and feel deer antlers, a deer tail, and deer fur. After learning all about deer, one of our staff members, Mr. Dean, cooked a variety of dishes using deer meat for students and staff to try. Our students loved getting to sample the food while also learning new facts about deer!đ #ExpectExcellence #StarkvilleSpark #JacketFamily
