Test correction days... it's not glamorous, but such a great way for students to practice and get what they need to master troublesome skills! From electromagnetic waves in science to equations in Algebra I to verb conjugation in Spanish, we stopped by to capture staff giving one-on-one help and class review to help students improve their grades and be ready to show what they know! #StarkvilleSpark #ExpectExcellence

A few of our students collaborated to create a children's storybook titled Kindness is a Masterpiece by integrating the arts, language arts, and character development. What began as a practice run for Khloe Coggin, Kennedy Keys, and Brynn Lorson turned into a successful masterpiece. The students had only five class periods, in addition to spending extra time at school over the break, in order to meet the deadline to write, illustrate, and edit their book on kindness. The students celebrated their hard work and accomplishment with a book signing at AJHS with their fellow art classmates, principals, the assistant superintendent, and both former and current teachers. They enjoyed reading their book to the visitors as they celebrated this achievement. The students plan to visit Sudduth Elementary in February to read their book and complete a mini art project with several of the classes that aligns with the important theme of the book β€” celebrating kindness. 🐝 #ExpectExcellence #StarkvilleSpark
