Pokhar Ke Dunu Paar, directed by Parth Saurabh, offers a quietly devastating glimpse into the everyday violence of control. In this scene, Priyanka's friend reveals how her brother once monitored her every move. And after marriage, her husband Aashish took over. Nothing changed, except the man watching her. Even her mother, instead of standing with her, tells her to "have faith" — a reflection of how deeply patriarchy conditions even women to accept control as love. According to NFHS-5, 1 in 3 married women in India have faced spousal violence. Most don’t report. Many don’t even name it. Because control is normalized — hidden in the language of love, concern, family honour. Do you know someone who lives like this? Or have you ever felt your life being controlled in the name of care? Share your thoughts. Favorite image of this summer. Walking alongside co-writer, producer, wife @nisheetakeni who has been working on 'Bajrangi' tirelessly with me for the last year, @joabhinav discussions with whom have shaped the very language of the film and @_dheeraj__ whose spatial awareness I'm in awe of, as we head towards the looming figure of the man who has been the inspiration behind all of it. Big thanks to our incredible crew and cast that turned up in this murderous heat day after day as we navigated 24 characters and 18 locations in a span of 25 exhausting days. Another big thanks to my family @sanjivkumarchaudhary @sugandh.jha @chanchalachaudhary @rajni.choudhary.72 Daddy and Laal Didi who took on so many responsibilities for us. 1 arduous schedule down, 2 complicated ones to go. @prady_10 @ankushprasad04 @pratsrbh @sumitmishraa__ @iamtejasvisingh @ghumakkar_anand @an._.shika @meghamathurhere @rishhikkka @prashant_rana24 @theatresagar @thakuramisha015 @priyadarshini_pooja_ @moushamibharti @sojaoutpal @coolamansingh @_ikumar1998_ @abhisheksinghrathod09 @zeeshesque @invisiblevisiblefilms
