Thank you @queensyardsummerparty 🫶 That was a bit of a landmark event for us - showcasing the future of Parametrica design and what it can achieve at scale. At the start of the year we redesigned the Biome sound system to be configurable for dancefloors of over a thousand people, using 12xV12 subs and 12xV18 tops. The Schwartz Wharf courtyard at QYSP was a perfect opportunity to trial a configuration of this and it didn’t disappoint. We spent hours getting this system and our production across three stages ready - a task only possible with the help of our community. We’re very blessed to tap into an ecosystem of talented artists and professionals who’ve pulled together for us on countless occasions. A special thanks to Alessandro Cerri whose tuning ear has been invaluable in the development and deployment of our audio projects. Also to @sparky_women for your lighting wizardry and to @fulltilt.london for facilitating all the lights and staging. And of course to @percolate_music for keeping Hackney Wick shining. A little over three weeks ago we collaborated with @houseofgaffe and @plurprojectuk , providing our Biome sound system for their NYD party. It was a pleasure to work with them, and the epic party reflected that! Thank you to all those that have worked with us this past year to help bring these visions to life. All of these projects are huge team efforts. Parametrica is all about collaboration; combining our specialized knowledge bases into succinct live art is what we do and without you, none of this would be possible. From supporting independent grassroots projects to working with major brands, 2025 was a whirlwind and it absolutely flew by. A month has passed since we came together for the fourth installment of @intotheburrowfestival and what a special weekend it was. It has been a privilege to work on this project over the past few years where we have led on lighting and given advice on the curation of audio systems; this year it really felt that things fell into place. Even though Into The Burrow has been continually developing, holding a magnifying lens to elements of the spaces in which the festival takes place has stayed the same within the production approach. With this in mind, the lighting design for the stages this year in some way wrote itself. Within The Pool House stage, we live-simulated water caustics, projecting them down into the crowd and playing into the fact that people were dancing on top of a covered pool, and within The Burrow stage, where we also provided our Biome sound system (more details to come on a separate post) we floated lights high up into the tree canopy, drawing people’s eyes into the space sculpted by the surrounding woodland. Last month we were brought in by @percolate_music music to create a pop up event for @rossi.dj_ x @jazzyofficial__ from @chaoslabel in a secret location in Dalston. Being on the third floor, the venue benefits from an impressive view of East London, and hence we made this feature the focal point of the lighting design. We did this by framing the windows with par 64s, each with their beams reaching towards the crowd, and by aligning LED fabripix rigged to the ceiling to a vanishing point far into the distance. This created a visual link from the crowd to the horizon. The LED fabripix were suspended from a steel rope grid that we permanently fixed in the ceiling, which was also utilised for the installation of sound treatment, a vital component of treating an acoustically very tricky room. @wearehereandnow 📸

For this year’s lighting and sound production of the Crate Loft stage at @queensyardsummerparty , we wanted to build on our lighting concept from last year, utilising the soft glow of tungsten filaments to infuse a warmness into the large, open space. To further enhance the feeling of intimacy, we also rigged LED bars draped translucent fabric, creating the effect of lowering the ceiling to add depth and dimension to the room. The fabric also played a key role in adding visual interest to the room during the day, when large windows around the building flooded the space with light. QYSP 2025: 1 day, 4 Parametrica stages Just over 2 weeks ago we were tasked with providing AV production to 4 stages across the @queensyardsummerparty in Hackney Wick. 1. Just over a week ago, we teamed up with @intotheburrowfestival to bring lighting & sound to their first party at a new venue location. Balancing DIY party vibes with high production value, we helped create a warm, welcoming space, installing filament bulbs throughout the room as a subtle nod back to The Barn stage at last year’s festival. This party got us feeling super excited for the production of @intotheburrowfestival 2025, and hence we thought it could be nice to provide a little re-cap of the work we did with them in 2024. Slide 1: ITB party, 14/03/25 Slides 2-3: The Barn With warm, flickering filament bulbs, hidden LED behind a low draped ceiling and a laser sculpture slicing through the haze, we wanted to create a space that had the energy of a club while retaining the intimacy of an afterparty with your closest friends. Slides 4-5: The Burrow Deep in an ancient temperate rainforest, every aspect of the lighting design here was used to highlight and accentuate the natural beauty of the site, with moving heads lighting up and drawing attention to the surrounding trees, and projectors echoing the movements of dancers in beams shining over the dancfloor. Slide 6: The Warren An expansive vista reaching to the horizon, The Warren stage was located on a glade that overlooked the vast Devonshire countryside. With the location for the stage being as awe-inspiring as this, we wanted to keep the production as simplistic as possible, installing two mirrored panels pointing towards the booth that could reflect the surrounding view and the ever-changing dramatic skies.

This time last year we were at @islington_ah with @midlandsound for the third instalment of his all night long events. Working with the venue’s grandeur, we utilised the scale of the room to rig lighting fixtures from varying heights. Starting with the lights low, anchoring the look to the dance floor to create a moody, atmospheric beginning, and eventually progressing to a central point behind Midland and the disco ball centrepiece, the audience were taken on a journey as we moved through various scenes. The impressive disco ball by @discoballpaul enabled us to create a crescendo of beams, immersing the crowd and the talented performers for the events dramatic finale.
