We interrupt our regularly scheduled Kurt Russell promo bc it looks like we got us a double double this Saturday and my body already hurts just thinking about it. The good news is that there isn’t a drop of rain in the forecast so at long last we can share the field with the @batcitysliders . But let’s not get ahead ourselves just yet bc leading off:

So not only did we get to celebrate our boy @rickrickrickner getting hitched, we got to play your favorite Sandlot team’s favorite sandlot team the @capcitycobrasbaseball Saturday out at the @thelongtimetexas and it was a reminder of why we love playing. It’s hard to describe the impact they’ve had not only on us as a team but across the #sandlotrevolution over the years. It’s always a privilege to share the field with anyone from their squad whenever we get the opportunity and can’t wait to run it back again. Thanks for always leading by example and a reminder it’s ok to love playing baseball.
As always can’t thank @vacancybrewing enough for providing all the refreshments for everyone out there and look forward many more days in the sun.
And finally, a huge shout out to @geoffreymclin for capturing the day. You’re the hero Austin Sandlot deserves.

Another season for the books. A million things to be grateful for starting with this community and the opportunity to leave it better than we found it for the next generation.
Grateful for all of the teams that contribute to the culture of Austin Sandlot and the people who consistently work to make it a better space for everyone.

Well everyone fake Fall is upon us which means even though mentally we’re shifting into soup mode we all have a few more weeks of damn near 100 degree days to sizzle like a sausage.
That said, yesterday was super. Huge thanks to @joelthemanzo and the @eacatx for putting on the event and a big thank you to the @eastaustin_ramblers for cooking out there with us.

Every year we reach the dog days of summer and say, “let’s have a Jorts and Crop Tops game” and every year 2 of the 7 people that show up follow through but not this year… this year I’m happy to report everyone understood the assignment and made that dream a reality. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Skies out, thighs out.
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the @austinsenatorsbaseball for another epic game. It’s always an absolute pleasure to share the field and have a post game hang.

After a much needed break the Verde Birdies returned to Govalle to take on one of @austinsandlot newest teams the @eastside_huevos and we both got fried. Thought we’d outsmart the Sun by wearing our home whites but nah. Imagine …thinking you can outsmart the Sun?
