Adam first joined PW in 2023 as an artist, receiving successive scholarships through the University of Salford Graduate Scholarship Programme and the Haworth Trust. These programmes support graduating and early-career artists with studio space and development opportunities.
Since then, he has become an integral part of the community, and we’re really pleased to now have him joining the team in this role 🫶

of artmaking sessions, gallery visits, and local walks, turning our shared experiences into a public showcase at partner venue @salford_museum this September, as part of Recoverist Month.

A look into Reimagining Paradise, a publication by Emma Illingworth documenting the early years of Paradise Works.
Part archive, part reflection, it traces how the space was built, shaped and sustained by artists, from its beginnings in 2017 to the community it holds today.
Through interviews, timelines and archived newspaper cuttings, it captures something beyond the physical building. A shared commitment to making space for artists to work, connect and grow.
In a time where artist-led spaces are becoming harder to sustain, this feels more relevant than ever.

The next Salford Creative Mixer is taking over Hot Bed Press for a special edition celebrating the launch of the Makers District visual identity.
Bringing together artists, designers, makers and creatives from across Salford, the evening will include hands-on activities like screenprinting, stamping, stencilling and letterpress, alongside opportunities to connect and build new collaborations.

Artist residency spotlight! ✨ Paradise Works studio holder @anna.clough_ is currently undertaking the Rebecca Scott Rome Residency at the British School at Rome.
Working across installation, sculpture and video, Anna’s practice explores landscape and the relationships between natural, social and built ecologies. During her time in Rome she has been developing sculptural and sound work shaped by time spent along the Tiber River.

We recently hosted a Makers District workshop in our space, delivered in collaboration with @hotbedpress and @islingtonmill .
Artists, designers and makers came together to respond to the evolving identity for the district, developed by graphic designer @hazelroberts1 . The session explored visual language, sound and mark-making, with a wide range of creative approaches shaping the discussion.
