“The Rising of the Moon” @cocobongo666 His publication explores the decades-long legacy of the Irish Civil War, documenting the resurgence of political and social tensions in post-Brexit North of Ireland. "I was born in Belfast, the West part of the city, which is an area that mostly defines itself as Irish Republican. This part of the city goes beyond history and is still largely affected by the conflict today, one of the main factors being a large wall that divides Catholics and Protestants. This makes you aware of which side of the wall you are born on, so we all grow up with this awareness of where we come from. Many people from this part of the city refuse to use the term “Northern Ireland” and only refer to it as “The North of Ireland,” as many do not see the state as legitimate. Historically, the foundation of the state was designed to put the Catholic community at a significant disadvantage.” 60 pages 170x240mm Stapled Photographs @cocobongo666 Publisher PARAD PUBLISHING Risograph print @atelierleoka Edition of 150 Limited run of 80 posters For order : /product/the-rising-of-the-moon-conall-kearney (LINK IN BIO)

Video edit for @rencontresarles - "Fragments of Los Angeles” In this video we present the work of 5 photographers tied to the city of Los Angeles, California. Drawn from their personal archives and documentation, our curation emphasizes contrasting perspectives around timeless subjects. “Fragments of Los Angeles” is a tribute to the eponymous book by Gusmano CESARETTI @gusmanoc that covered the period between 1969-1989, influencing a whole generation of LA photographers and artists. Motivated by a commitment to archive social realities close to the minorities and scenes of fragmentation documented, we invited the following artists alongside Gusmano: @valeriej.bower , @chito.banda.s , @michael_krim , @suitcase_joe . This 7-minute edit presents, in succession, an extract from our interviews with Gusmano CESARETTI, the lowriders of LA, the “CACOS” cholos, the sex workers of Figueroa and the residents of Skidrow in Downtown LA. Many thanks to our good friends @333nuncasiempre and @spencer.bambrough for helping us out with translations work. 🖤 Video edit @marielinevinciguerra @paul_floeschner

——— In this video we present the work of 5 photographers tied to the city of Los Angeles, California. You can't go all the way to EU w/o doing a premiere in Paris! This is the 3rd of 4 cities in the WSOTL European city premiere tour! Nov. 9th 9-11:59pm @ le Brady (@cinemalebrady ) The amazing people at @parad.publishing have busted their asses to help WSOTL make Paris happen. We'll spend the eve at this amazing theater Tarantino himself wishes he could premiere in. This will be a fun evening of celebrating photography and creativity... Paresian style. We'll watch an exclusive edit on the 18 photographers in Season 01 of Wrong Side Of The Lens followed by the full film about Jill Freedman. Afterwards, Spencer Bambrough (@goo.sap ) of PARAD will host the Q&A with me @josh.ethan.johnson , the filmmaker of WSOTL and sepak with local photographer @sofiyaloriashvili about life and the pursuit of the perfect image. Afterwards, it'd be great to have a drink and keep the conversation going nearby. Snag a ticket on the website if there's any left and please tell your EU friends to see if they're in the neighborhood!

Limited edition of 300 copies available on Extract of Ronald Pizzoferrato section: "The codes and symbols of violence in Caracas are not only a crucial aspect of the identity of its citizens, they are also a measure and a catalyst to inclusion and exclusion. Caraqueños adapt and implement these symbols not only to seek certification from others, but also to determine their level of safety and insecurity. Through the knowledge of these signs, you can understand on a physical-space level where you may be more vulnerable in the city, or in front of whom you do not feel safe. For this reason, it is important to recognize and control these strategies that are manifested in society, because not having this knowledge can be very dangerous. While acknowledging that violence is affecting everyone within Caracas, physically and psychologically, this does not stop us from wanting to be a ‘normal’ city. I try to show how the inhabitants of Caracas are designing a life in a violent environment, without ceasing to function as a ‘normal’ society. I strive to contribute to the deconstruction of the Western conceptualization of violence as an ‘inherently bad thing’. This does not mean that violence is valued as something ‘good’ per se, but that violence contains and constructs its own social life."

In a current climate of violence, predominantly set up and locked up by worldwide institutions, voices starve to speak. People are being invisibilized in this race of earning. Our eyes are desensitised as minorities try to be heard using hopeless democratic ways. No more options are being given.
