PARABASE won the competition for the new Housing development of the plot MF03 in the Wolf Areal Basel organized by SBB (Swiss Federal Railways company). The 155 apartments are built ReUsing old material components from the SBB stock such as metal railways and sleepers as load bearing structure of the new building. Competition proposal for the new CSPM building in Geneva engages with the latent potential of existing university buildings, Ansermet, Isotopes, Datcha, Réacteur, and Science 1, treating them as active material. Prefabricated concrete façades, steel columns, and salvaged slabs are selectively dismantled, catalogued, and recomposed within a modular system based on a 6.5-meter grid.
