Collage workshop announcement
What happens if we begin by falling in love with an image? And what if love continues to guide the way we create?
This workshop starts from a deep affection for paper, history and the image as witness. Images carry traces of who we were and gestures toward who we are becoming. They reflect both the individual and the collective: the beauty, discomfort, and contradictions of humanity as an ever-shifting construction.
With an approach of working with what is already around us, assembling fragments into new meanings. Tijs
@paper.pulse.echo will share his own process and guide you toward discovering your personal collage language.
Through moments of silence, shared memory, attentive listening, playful experimentation, we reconnect with wonder and curiosity. From there, we enter dialogue with paper, images, textures, and colour cutting, tearing, composing, and recomposing.
The workshop invites you to trust your intuition, to let fragments meet, and to allow love to lead the way, until certain elements simply feel right together. That is where the collage begins.
- Please bring scissors, glue, and if possible a cutting knife and cutting board.
- Tijs will be collecting material in CDMX, but additional magazines, books, paper treasures are welcomed.
- Workshop is in English with Spanish translation available if needed.
Places are limited. Please RSVP through DM.
