Biometric testing includes measurements of range of motion, movement analysis, and performance. It’s crucial when designing a new program prior to a new season. The data could be used to see where you stand among peers, to navigate strengths and weaknesses and record progress. It is strongly recommended to elevate your athletes performance as well as enhancing injury resilience. #sportmedicine #beachvolleyball #biometrics #sportsperformance

Overstepping during running causes braking. A common running mistake that not only hurts performance but also causes anterior knee mechanical overload. Overtime if not corrected this leads to problems such as patellar or quadriceps tendinitis. In the first picture you clearly see the runner’s strikes touch down in front of his center of mass. After a few drills and feedback, he quickly fixed it. In the second photo, his foot strikes right under his body. In the third photo, Another mistake we had to correct was his elbow overextending. Elbows should be flexed and arm should be swinging from the shoulder. This was corrected by the fourth photo. #sportmedicine #sports #sprint #soccer #football #run #strengthtraining #futbol #championsleague

BFR - blood flow restriction is a great method to strengthen the extremities. Great strategy for rehab or deload the motor neurons. Potential benefits include muscle hypertrophy, strength, endurance, VO2 max. #sports #sportmedicine #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning #bloodflowrestriction #sportrehab #sportsrehab #physiotherapy #physicaltherapy

Basketball players are at high risk for jumpers knee. Long seasons, repetitive motions, traveling and minimal recovery time would lead to overuse syndrome. To add in the mix, neuromuscular imbalances and poor fitness levels could exacerbate the problem. I have a sample of a typical patella tendinitis phase 2 protocol above. Feel free to try but make sure to have pain as guidance. Depending on the level of inflammation and the phase you are in its possible to have some pain. If so better see a professional for advice.#sportmedicine #sports #jumpersknee #parellartendonopathy #basketball #volleyball

Vertical jump test is a great diagnostic assessing athlete’s power. Power is linked to explosive fast movements necessary for performance in most sports. If you want to perform better commit to a program that will help you develop your power and explosive strength. DM me if you are interested on how to become more explosive. #sports #sportmedicine #sportperformance #strengthtraining #strengthandconditioning #weightlifting #icehockey #strength
