Kayla Witt is a Czech-Canadian painter recognized for her spiritually reflective and symbolically vivid oil paintings. She engages the viewer on a quest to find purpose, physical and spiritual well-being, and self-actualization. Windows, storefronts, and symbols of wellness culture are frequent motifs for the artist, who transforms them into surreal meditations on the marketing of pain and healing. With an interest in Jungian psychology, folk tales, and mythology, Witt transforms the genre of still-life into one that is full of movement, theatricality, and narrative. Kayla Witt’s work is on view now in Twilight Zone a group exhibition at Arsenal Contemporary Art NY in collaboration with Night Gallery LA On view from April 24th-June 6th, 2026 21 Cortlandt Alley 2nd Floor New York, NY 10013 Group exhibition including: Nicolas Baier, Michel DeBroin, Max Hooper Schneider, Rose Marcus, Scott McFarland, Sterling Wells, Kayla Witt ❤️

Happy birthday to my father. He has influenced so many original artists in fine art and tattooing. Continuing a legacy of surrealism across multiple disciplines including oil painting, experimental film and ambient music. Studying and respecting lineages and predecessors of artists. Carrying forward knowledge, technique and innovation. Frank Frazetta, HR Giger… and metal. Can’t forget metal. 🤘 Somehow, I turned out to be a hippie. But, I say, it takes one to know one! 😂🙏🖤🎶 thanks for all the opportunities and inclusion in so many special, once-in-a-lifetime art gallery and music industry experiences. Learned a lot from you! Today is the last day to catch Wanda Koop’s magic at Arsenal Contemporary NY ✨ This wonderful exhibition—Magnetic Field—in collaboration with Night Gallery showcases Wanda’s incredible talent and limitless imagination. The exhibition marks Wanda’s first solo show in New York since 2018 and follows Night Gallery’s epic presentation of historical works by the artist recently at Frieze New York 2025. Wanda created this most recent body of work in her summer studio at Riding Mountain, Manitoba, a few hours from her longtime Winnipeg home in Canada. The resulting, multi-layered landscapes and skyscapes are both idyllic and fragile. Calligraphic reeds break through a tranquil pond in 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘥, and a bright orange sun in 𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦 evokes the Manitoba fires that recently forced 20,000 residents to leave their homes. Her newest paintings offer wry considerations of technological doomerism. She debuts her “AI Ghost Trees,” in which barren tree trunks form the suggestive letters “AI” as if nature itself were warning us of a conspiracy. Wanda’s approach to technology embraces double-edged humor and a broader, longer view. It’s unsettling to see a signifier for artificial intelligence in tree trunks, to try to find linguistic configurations in pond reeds and electronic patterns in the night skies. Yet as technology increasingly consumes our daily lives, it becomes impossible to escape its shadow in even the most remote places. Painting gains meaning not via its technological utility, but for its very presence and persistence as a primordial object of communication. Wanda feels out her direction with her own internal guide, creating luminous fields that exist outside of language—be it early script or large language models. Her canvases reconnect us with the mysteries of the natural universe, which will persist long after we and our gadgets are gone. @nightgallery @arsenalcontemporary Congratulations @wanda_koop on one of the most beautiful and powerfully moving shows I’ve seen in a long time. I wish I could gaze at them all for eternity ❤️‍🔥
