If I had my clients butlers pantry, I think I’d serve Thanksgiving right here. This pantry is the stuff my hosting dreams are made of. A small space with big impact in both style and utility. The rich-hued high gloss cabinetry is complimented with substantial unlacquered brass hardware. The vein-y marble and cloudy ceiling paper layer in movement. Beautiful details, but look at all the storage too! The pantry is directly off the dining area so overflow serving pieces can be showcased just within reach. The paneled extra dishwasher lets the homeowners fit in an extra load of glassware to get ahead of the clean-up. 🍽️ I’ll just put this on my list of spaces I’d like to add to my next dream house. 😆 (photography: @joyellewest )

This food pantry is almost too pretty to be hidden away for storage only. Swing those pocket doors open and look…
➡️I love fully tiled walls, especially in pantries. These zellige-style tiles add an interesting textural layer.
➡️always a yes to an unlacquered brass bridge faucet
➡️the open veggie drawers were my clients idea, now a fav addition to future pantry designs
➡️the pantry has elements that coordinate with the classic kitchen but still carries its own special vibe, no need to be matchy-matchy

Our garden room updates! Well first, did I ever tell you Brian is actually the person sketching & building these final layers? So I suddenly have a not-so-silent design partner, and I am loving it! The bar is all him. He’s sketched a couple bar options for me to consider. We also hit the tile showroom. What I love about renderings = we immediately saw that we need a different hue of green tile + a different floor that’s not so busy. But Looook!! I am so in love already. I had a last minute pivot when I saw this “plaster” colored egret paper and boom the room turned a different direction I am really obsessed with. Can we fast forward to the good part? (aka- summer breeze, room done, cocktail in hand)
The gorgeous room that meets the pool. 🌊
This is the “lower level” of Coastal Legacy House, but it’s too pretty to call it that, so we dubbed this whole floor The Pool House. Bifold doors that open an entire wall so this family & game room lives inside and out. A kitchen with a pass-through bifold window giving it a resort-like bar moment.
Countdown is on till the New England sun stays out and this “pool house” can live its fullest potential.

Mood: you survived brutal winter in New England and it’s finally time to open the pool. Who’s ready??
This home is so special. Exteriors thoughtfully composed along with the initial drawings of the new build so that every detail, every relationship point between indoors and outdoors considered by architect and landscape design. I get the lucky & easy last step of adding some pretty loungers & outdoor styling to bring it together. Collectively creating a dreamy resort-like backyard is a true summer destination. #coastallegacyhouse

my birth chart told me
I needed one large-scale art piece above my main seating.
I needed a bathroom that fully expressed my inner dreamscape.
To play with contrast of light and dark in materials.
I looked around and realized
I'd already put it there — way before I ever looked at a chart.
I've been designing for almost two decades using intuition, client interviews and Pinterest boards. Lately I've
been going deeper. And what I'm finding in birth charts is genuinely blowing my mind.
🌙 more on this soon.

This attic was out of horror movie. Imagine spiderwebs and a rocking chair that creaks when nobody is in it. But from the moment we set eyes on this house we knew this attic was meant to become something special. We had a beam installed to keep the high vaulted ceilings and added v-groove to the walls to make it as light and bright as possible. It now hosts a teen living room, guest room, game area, bathroom and this cutie bunk. For this side of the space we fit two needs in on one wall- ½ bunk and ½ guest room bath. Believe it or not- my husband designed and built this bunk for us 🤍

Anyone else grappling with seasonal depression?? 🙋🏼♀️ get me outta this dark dreary place. A little jealous of my clients who planned ahead for winters like this. I mean if you could hang and play golf in here?! Who’s complaining then? ⛳️ @palmandprep@joyellewest@gritandgracebuilds
Our primary bathroom used to be a little office with two doors. It was a curious room to convert into an ensuite bathroom with a small boxy footprint. However, by splitting up the vanity into a his & hers we could even fit a tub between the vanities. Petite but dynamic with its dramatic wallpaper & living brass finishes.
Swipe to the end to see a video of the space before we turned it into a bathroom!

⚡️soft & subtle but just right wallpaper pattern
⚡️perfectly imperfect zellige tile floor
⚡️THE dreamiest cabinet color- oh how we turmoiled over just the right color in here
(this here is custom for client but stay tuned because we are about to roll out a downloadable cheat sheet of all my fav cabinet colors)
