Red Pants is no longer just an idea, but a project gaining attention from international industry media.
Selected from over 450 projects worldwide, we were invited to participate in the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at Series Mania Forum @seriesmaniaforum , where we were among 15 international projects — and received the main award at the Series Mania Co-Production Forum.
Featured across top industry media, including:
— The Hollywood Reporter @hollywoodreporter
— Variety @variety
— Deadline @deadline
— Cineuropa @cineuropa.official
For us, this is more than just press coverage — it’s a sign that the project resonates beyond its local context.
More to come.
We’re incredibly proud to share that our series RED PANTS (Kyrgyzstan) has won the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at Series Mania Forum 2026 @seriesmaniaforum
For us, this moment feels especially powerful — RED PANTS became the first project from Kyrgyzstan ever presented at the Forum, and it resonated strongly through all collection of this year.
We made it here through a highly competitive selection: out of 1500 projects submitted, we were chosen among 15 projects to pitch in Lille at Series Mania — often called the “Cannes of series.”
RED PANTS is a 10 x 60’ series, produced by @erkeerkin (Studio Oymo), with co-producers @pafeldman & @dochdoyl (@humanfilms.nl ), and written by @tilekcherikov .
Set in late 1970s Soviet Kyrgyzstan, the story follows Aisha, a military officer’s daughter who forms the first all-female criminal gang to avenge her father’s death and challenge the regime.
🏆 Co-Pro Pitching Sessions Winner
Congratulations to RED PANTS (Kyrgyzstan), winner of the 2026 Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at Series Mania Forum.
A powerful and emotional moment, as this marks the first project from Kyrgyzstan ever presented at the Forum and a truly promising series that stood out among this year’s selection.

Variety has spotlighted our new project with @erkeerkin & @tilekcherikov — “Red Pants”.
The article highlights that the series will be presented at Series Mania @seriesmania , often called the “Cannes of television,” where the project is officially selected for the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions on March 24.
Variety notes that “Red Pants” continues the thematic path Erke began with Kurak — a film that has already received multiple awards at international festivals. While Kurak confronts violence against women in today’s Central Asia, Red Pants shifts to the late 1970s, showing how young girls—dismissed by society and Soviet authorities—create their own language of power, solidarity and survival.
