Pace Prints is opening up shop in Los Angeles!
We are excited to announce the opening of a new 11,700 square foot facility in Los Angeles in the Fall of 2026. Located at 1130 Seward Street, the new space will further enhance Pace Prints' creative partnership with Los Angeles-based artists and deepen its commitment to the city’s arts community.
Designed by Murdock Solon Architects, the space will house a 6,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art printshop dedicated to ink-based projects in the heart of Hollywood’s vibrant gallery scene. The adjacent 5,700 sq. ft. gallery will exhibit prints and editions created at both the Los Angeles and New York printshops.

Alex Israel's 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘺 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥? is a suite of 10 archival pigment prints presenting new iterations of the artist’s 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 series, mounted in custom, artist-designed frames.
This new suite captures momentary fragments from the artist's life—a car against a residential landscape, a detail of the Hollywood Bowl, a view over LA from an airplane—drawn from walks, hikes, and moments in transit.
Israel edits and filters these images with the precision of a meticulously refined social media feed to present life not as it is, but as it is framed.

Self Portrait (Road Trip), Alex Israel, 2026.
Founded in 1968, Pace Prints (@paceprints ) is a New York-based printmaking workshop and gallery that collaborates with leading contemporary artists to create fine art limited edition prints and multiples. Working across etching, woodcut, linocut, and handmade paper at studios in Manhattan and Gowanus, Brooklyn, master printers work directly with artists to bring their intentions to life, a tradition rooted in the workshop’s lineage to Aldo Crommelynck, Pablo Picasso’s longtime printer. Over five decades, Pace Prints has worked with artists ranging from Helen Frankenthaler and Chuck Close to Jonas Wood, Yoshitomo Nara, and Wangechi Mutu, building a body of work that reflects a genuine and sustained commitment to printmaking as a serious artistic medium.
Wishing a happy birthday to James Turrell!
“I make spaces that apprehend light for our perception, and in some ways gather it, or seem to hold it…my work is more about your seeing than it is about my seeing, although it is a product of my seeing.”
- James Turrell

Alex Israel: 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘺 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥?
Join us for an opening reception on Thursday April 30th from 6–8pm at 536 West 22nd Street.
The exhibition marks the release of a suite of 10 new editions by the artist, with each presenting a new iteration of his 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 series, mounted in a custom, artist-designed frame.
Born from the heightened visual language of Instagram, Israel’s 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘴 blur the boundary between lived experience and the performed reality of self-branding. This new suite captures momentary fragments—a car against a residential landscape, a detail of the Hollywood Bowl, a view over LA from an airplane—drawn from walks, hikes, and moments in transit. Israel edits and filters these images with the precision of a meticulously refined social media feed to present life not as it is, but as it is framed.

Leonardo Drew has used hand-made urethane forms to cast his monoprints and editions since 2012. In this process, the templates are lined with pigmented paper pulp, which is then left to dry, and ultimately removed.
These high-relief casts are sometimes combined with another molded section to create a full composition, like in the artist's large-scale monoprint 105𝘗.
Swipe ➡️ to go into the Pace Paper studio and get a behind-the-scenes look at how these works are created.
This is the last week to see the artist's current solo exhibition, which closes this Saturday, April 25.
