structured tote, boxed corners, lined with pocket.

acquired these scrap squares from an antique quilt vendor @ a trade show I worked last year. Happy to finally put these cuties to use!
👜
quilted totes are one of my favorite recent makes, I will continue cranking these cuties out. Dm if you want one!
an extremely fun one for my girl Syd!
🌸
She was inspired by a sold out dress she found online that would’ve been hard to get her hands on in time for her party. So we set out to make a custom version, loosely based off the original inspo. Syd found a cutie green dress online, picked out the petal fabric colors, and I made the vision come to life!
🌼
Appliquéd stems + leaves with multi-dimensional petals, and a zipper upgrade. All sewn with @aurifilthread of course! I used a combination of 50wt and 40wt for the overall construction, and a mix of 28wt and 12wt for the bolder stitches.
💚
@sydrwolgast I’m so happy you’re in Chicago now and I get to witness you blooming into your 30s, ily!
in addition to the coat, I also whipped up this vest for Jonah!
💙
As with many of my sewing projects, I had a surge of inspiration and entered a flow state that did not include filming or documenting any process. And that’s okay! When it’s flowin, you just gotta go with it!
🧡
I’m incredibly happy with how this one turned out. I used a VERY vintage moving blanket for the base, lined with an upcycled sheet, and finished with snaps and pockets from the moving blanket remnants!
💙
Something about the layered threads in this vintage blanket and the pop of orange really just speak to me!
super precious commission for @erythphaean upcycling her babe’s onesies into scrunchies and a zipper pouch! Such a special way to add function to outgrown clothing that holds too many memories to donate or pass down. Thank you so much Caitlin 💌
projects like this fill me with such joy and gratitude for the trust and opportunity to share my craft with friends and strangers alike. MORE 👏🏼 LIKE 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼 PLEASE!

big love for this neighborhood and community of friends and family!
on Labor Day, 9/2, you can catch us at Saint Emeric! Join us on our neighbor’s urban farm, amidst the Washtenaw block party!
🌷
explore the garden, enjoy some BBQ, and BYOB!
🌼
mini market ft. dried + fresh florals, upcycled totes, freshly canned jams, and more!
🍅
this is a special event for us — we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know our neighbors @saintemericishome over the past few months as they cultivated this beautiful garden. We’ve been lucky enough to get involved by tending a few garden boxes for ourselves, developing branding systems for their new Flower Farm, and creating custom merch for this special day!
🌱
Hope to see you there — let’s celebrate the fruits of their labor!

Popping in for a “quick” 👋🏼
I don’t always end up posting the projects I make, and I rarely share about me personally here. But as of late, my personal life and my sewing life have become more and more intertwined. I couldn’t be more thrilled and proud of how far I’ve come on this super fun, messy, scrappy sewing journey! I’m hoping to be more active here and catch y’all up on some of my recent fav makes 🎀
I’m coming up on ONE YEAR (what?? how??) working @aurifilthread and I cannot even begin to explain how thankful I am to be here. I’ve learned SO MUCH for far (👀 FPP, BOMs, appliqué, thread education, etc etc!!) and I’m only just beginning to scratch the surface of my sewing potential, both personally and professionally! I feel it in my bones!
At home, I moved my beloved sewing machine (my great-grandmother’s Singer Fashion Mate 237 from the 60s) into my living room and out of my super small, hallway studio. The clean, open space surrounded by my plant babies has encouraged such an ease of engagement with my practice that has felt like a warm hug that I’ve been yearning for far too long.
Anyways! I’m so happy to be here — making, upcycling, dreaming, and sharing it with all of you!
