“There was the sound of water, because it had rained. But this time it sounded like a fountain. From two different points in the garden one higher pitched and the other more constant. There was a light coming from the right, next to the tree.
But the most special thing was the sound. It sounded like seabirds, and nothing else could be heard. At least I couldn’t hear anything else, and I don’t remember anything else. I had sat down in the garden to rest.
Well, rather, I needed to understand destiny. The painting had taken an unexpected turn. Now it was a liquid scene; everything had changed again and taken on a different aspect: nature melting and building itself from a place far removed from reality. It’s true, baby! it’s a dream

“Residente Uno. Pablo Merchante”
Con enorme alegría damos la bienvenida al artista español @pablomerchanted , quien inicia su residencia en ACERT.
Durante las próximas semanas, Pablo desarrollará una nueva serie de pinturas, además de una obra de gran formato creada en colaboración con mujeres privadas de la libertad en el Reclusorio Femenil de Santa Marta Acatitla, gracias al acompañamiento del Instituto de Reinserción Social de la Ciudad de México. @reinsercioncdmx y a su directora @psic_cinthia__gg .
El proyecto social que acompaña esta residencia se titula “El verde que llevo dentro” un ejercicio de creación y escucha donde el color actúa como canal para nombrar lo no dicho, hilando experiencias personales dentro de un gesto colectivo.
La residencia culminará con una exposición individual en febrero de 2026, durante la Semana del Arte en la Ciudad de México.
