So my first big day of directing! Lotta lessons learnt - which sounds like it was a bad day. And after some people couldn’t make it and roles had to be doubled up - it could have been! But It really wasn’t! Just learning how long some things take, how different camera angles can be when it’s video. The amount of legal stuff that happens before a shoot. For a group of people that had never met before, or only worked together once or twice - we all got on so well! There was fabulous improv happening; I just wish I had the money to pay them all! 30.3.26 - 4:34pm Today’s selfie - Yesterday I was on set doing the first major filming day for Over & Over &! It was amazing! Manic! Terrifying! Awesome! Tiring! We got a whole bunch done; moved some things around, improv’d some scenes and I don’t think (despite pull outs and other challenges) people were too annoyed at waiting or whatever. There were a whole bunch of people I’d never worked with, or had worked with only once. And 10/10 would work with again! (And in a few weeks, some of them I shall do!) Now I hope for the Proof of Concept to be received well so we can make the whole thing cos I swear - these humans are bringing something to life that has so much potential; so much capacity. I’m honoured. This selfie was the result of coming back from the shoot day yesterday; approx 6pm, packing all filming stuff away and crawling straight into bed. It was the 4:34 alarm that awoke me, and I’m late in posting cos I fell asleep again after! Wild. It was fun to play with the Camp Snap 8 and I’m excited to see what the footage will look like when it’s all edited!
