In creating the Terrarium stage at Sounds From the Other City 2026. We asked our visual and music artists about themselves and What does peace mean to you? @studiotaraburdett Tara Burdett, an affiliate of the PLUTO Ecosistema with exhibitions from Valencia to Paris, dresses the space with her anthropomorphic vases and designs. Her installations are a visceral exploration of human form and emotion, blurring the lines between the organic and the surreal. In creating the Terrarium stage at Sounds From the Other City 2026. We asked our visual and music artists about themselves and What does peace mean to you? @sophiaharari , also known as Shakari, is a Manchester-based poet, performer and sound designer whose work blends spoken word with DJing and electronic music to explore identity and self-expression. Their dynamic work engages in dialogues on memory, trauma, perspective, lineage and the marginalised experience while being rooted in eclecticism and intersectionality. She has performed at festivals such as Sounds From The Other City, Black Excellence, Bristol, SOUP, and co-curated exhibitions with the @1705milita Art Collective. In creating the Terrarium stage at Sounds From the Other City 2026. We asked our visual and music artists about themselves and what does peace mean to you? @zolatec is a Leicester-born, Manchester-based artist who has been playing the steelpan since she was six years old. Unlike most electronic producers, she refuses to use digital samples of the instrument—recording her own live steelpan instead to preserve its natural warmth and dynamics. After teaching herself production during lockdown as a form of creative rebirth, she now crafts dark, melodic electronic music with the sound of the instrument she grew up hearing. Manchester-based Spanish vocalist Cloe @velezband fronts the rising outfit VELEZ, a project that breathes new life into Latin jazz and atmospheric balladry with a distinctly modern, melancholic pull. An "old soul" with a sultry, reverb-drenched vocal style, Cloe channels the smoky introspection of Richard Hawley and the rhythmic warmth of bossa nova legends. As heard on BBC Introducing Manchester, VELEZ creates an entrancing sonic world where Latin influence meets profound storytelling about love, loss, and everything in between. See VELEZ perform at The Terrarium Stage at @sftoc this bank holiday Sunday 03.05.26.
