What does peace mean to you?
@feno1000000 is a Venezuelan artist and multidisciplinary designer whose practice explores sustainable fabrication, biomaterials, and immersive environments—merging digital craftsmanship with organic and waste-derived materials to create interactive, site-responsive spaces. For the Terrarium Stage at Sounds From The Other City 2026, Feno has been working with us to craft reactive visual projections that respond directly to touch into living, atmospheric visuals that mirror his belief in resourceful, grounded creativity.

🌿 Meet Feno! 🌿
A Venezuelan interdisciplinary artist and designer based in Manchester, Feno explores speculative materials and biomimicry - drawing inspiration from the biodiversity of tropical forests to imagine more sustainable, more-than-human futures.
As quoted in Critical Playground, “the next wave of digital fabrication isn’t about control - it’s about negotiation.” Feno’s work embodies that spirit - a collaboration between maker, machine, and material waste. Through bio-informed, sustainable design, this project will offer a playful and accessible way to rethink how we make, create, and coexist.

Turning food waste into the future of design! 🌱
Our 2025 PCAF grantee Feno @feno1000000 is reimagining everyday leftovers — like coffee grounds, orange peels, and olive pulp — as the building blocks for biodegradable, 3D-printable materials.
The project will culminate in an open-access digital publication sharing original biomaterial recipes so anyone can experiment with sustainable 3D printing. #artforwildlife #wildlifeartists #pardicolor #conservation
✨ @pri_printing bends into sound ✨
Altar for the Absent Body, an interactive installation made during @periplusworkshops , using @playtronica devices to turn recycled aluminium fragments, stone, and branches into living instruments.
To listen, you must bend. To play, you must become part of it. 🌿🔊

Re-Existence Echoes 🌿 A public art concept I developed during my MCP at @factory_international
This project it’s all about reconnecting people and nature using biomaterials, computational design, and native flora to imagine new ways of bringing biodiversity into public spaces in Manchester.
The idea was inspired by @ntcastlefieldviaduct , where the city and nature are already in a conversation. I loved the thought of adding something that could grow with the space and support local wildlife.
The sculptures would be made from locally informed clay, designed to be safe, accessible, and part of the living environment.
Big thanks to everyone who helped shape this project along the way 🌱
