Y’all. @iamroberttownsend said I’m a brilliant genius, a gifted storyteller, and called my character work and object work masterful. That’s INSANE. It’s gonna take me a minute to recover from that. I’ve been dreaming of doing a show like this my ENTIRE LIFE. I can’t believe it’s really happening. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I’m so grateful to finally feel SEEN. Whew. Grateful is an understatement! I love each and every person who showed up to hear me tell my story. You all have a very special place in my heart. It really was a magical night. ✨The pictures don’t lie. This is a dream I never want to wake up from. Still floating!! LA, y’all really showed up and showed out for my @netflixisajoke show! It was my first time performing my very Brooklyn, very Caribbean, very raw story outside of NYC and I could not have asked for a better audience. Y’all were locked in for every twist and turn on the rollercoaster ride of my life, and I’m so grateful to have felt so much love in the room that night. To those of you who caught the livestream, thank you, too! And if you’re wondering how much of that story was true — 1000% of it. Not a single lie was told, not a single moment exaggerated, not a single scene was invented for the show.
