from @desmondhansenart : “nasty nes who was the first seattle radio dj to play rap music on the air also dj for emerald city boys. he would travel to the east coast in the early 90s and bring back rap records to spark up the seattle scene. sir mix-a-lot is one of the first if not thee first world wide known rap artists to gain real traction for seattle and currently still active.”
