Shining a light on three Liverpool artists joining us this year 🌊 (1/3)
veve, a Lesser Version, and Jonah Wardle are all on the bill for Outer Waves 2026 — and we couldn’t be prouder to have them. Platforming local talent alongside our international lineup is at the heart of what we do, and this lot are very much the real deal.
@blueberrygardenx
veve is a singer, songwriter, multi- instrumentalist, composer, and producer based in Liverpool who blends the likes of indie, dance, dreampop and electronic elements together to create a distinctive sound. She recently self released her debut album Meraki, recorded, performed and produced entirely from her bedroom.
@alesserversion
a Lesser Version is an artist called Liam Evans that plays and releases music with a band that is also called a Lesser Version.
Described by The Quietus as ‘purveyors of fractured and emotive DIY indie rock’, a Lesser Version crafts songs that are heartfelt and homemade whilst existing in a post-internet, post-genre universe that they have created for themselves, stretching from shoegaze to folk via emo and electronica.
@jonah_wardle
Jonah Wardle is a composer, sound artist, and producer. Alongside creating electronic music under the alias Machine Hire, he develops work under his own name that focuses on conceptual, sound art-driven pieces. His practice centres on sampling and audio manipulation, using unconventional sound sources to create visceral and immersive listening experiences.
His most recent project, STRIP - A Sonic Self-Portrait, is a composition made entirely from recordings of his own body, exploring anatomy as both subject and instrument.
23 & 24 May @ Invisible Wind Factory & Make CIC, Liverpool’s North Docks. Tickets from £40 — link in bio.
