16 years ago today! While working in the ski shop at Grand Targhee, I noticed the face protection we sold wasn’t really working properly. Either; 1. noses were cold and exposed, or 2. masks were wet, and goggles were foggy. Somehow, we needed to cover our noses without blocking breathing. After hundreds of designs and prototypes, a separate nose/cheekbone mask that integrated with everyone’s Buff(tm) was the only thing that worked. In the pre-GoPro era, this is the only film I have from my years there. Grateful for this footage to reflect on where it all started, my stoke for skiing, and the moment I decided to save the noses of everyone in my favorite industry.
