Local favourite @juniorsdeli_ are serving up a curated selection of their signature sandwiches and drinks in the @outerboundstore courtyard.
Food offerings will be open to the public in the courtyard from 4pm, while @outerboundmusic ’s event inside the cafe can be accessed via a ticket purchase online through humanitix or on the night at the door.
Please note this is NOT a byo event. Drinks will be available for purchase inside the cafe and within courtyard.

Entering into the new year with a solid mix from day one outerbound local @hunterbrookes_ that bounces between quality deep house, dub techno, and early influences, for a dynamic listening experience.

“Doing this mix has helped me to connect a few dots and realise why Im digging things that I originally thought I wouldn’t be into. I havent been collecting or mixing for long but in that time my taste has evolved a lot. Going back through my first purchases has made me realise how so many of the rabbit holes ive been down have stemmed from recommendations from record shop owners or DJs i rate.
I wanted to showcase a bit of the journey ive been on in terms of early influences, a few of the different genres that continue to inspire me and some of the different sounds i tend to gravitate towards.”

Celebrating ten years of the Berlin-based record shop and label, we invite @soundmetaphors_djs (Nemo Ripoll and Castro Moore) into the white arches of Burleigh Heads for a 2-hour b2b DJ set. What began in Kreuzberg as a local refuge has grown into a global exchange, bridging eras and styles with a curation of sound that feels as intuitive as it is intentional.
A daytime crate dig soundtracked by trusted local support will prelude the evening with an exclusive drop of @soundmetaphors releases, alongside a refreshed Outer Bound selection.
Straight from the heart of Mudgeeraba, we’ve got the local favourite @juniorsdeli_ on deck to serve up what they do best in food and drinks.

Yet another proper @formercityrecords drop by Dresden-based scientist, producer and weightlifter @dj_pirna . Unpredictable arrangements presented with lots of lovin´and raw energy on this one, featuring Akai S900 drums, top-notch rap verses, funky guitar licks. Inspired by 8Ball & MJG, protoscience in ancient history, and Detroit’s 313 scene, Prehistoric Passion covers serious musical ground with a signature edge.
This rare pressing is part of the latest batch of Former City Records releases landing in our shop. We’ll have a limited number of copies available at our community crate dig event on Dec 07—the perfect chance to snatch this absolute doozy.

Ghettoboom Vol.1

Another hot new one from @formercityrecords that will presumably be new various artist series here with Volume 1 of Ghettoboom. It features two tracks each by three different artists on a super limited 12” that has a healthy dose of streetwise swagger.
There are rave samples and big breaks on 1905’s ‘Recorddeals’ while DJ Pirna gets for a more soul soothing and loved up vocal vibe on his super sweet bumper ‘Booty Snapper. Bringing a third different sound is ‘Get Your Head Bust’, a high speed, lo-fi techno cut with turbo claps.
The flip also features footwork style club tracks, lush deep house and urgent floor pumpers. This one covers lots of ground in real style - A Funky DIY comp with all tracks killer, no filler.

@__ericroy returns for our 14th episode to wrap up 2024. Inspired from a recent trip to Seoul, Eric could envision it coming together while digging out an abundance of music in some record stores during his travels. The mix is a dynamic journey woven with various dance music, not bound by style or tempo, with a few suprise classics he’s plucked out that just seem to slot right into the mix. The recording was made on 2 x Technics SL1200 Mkii’s, a Condesa Carmen Rotary Mixer and a Boss DD-200 Digital Delay pedal.
He’ll also be dropping off another batch of preloved gems from his collection available first hand at our upcoming community crate dig on Sat Dec 07.

Originally released digitally four years ago, this EP became a standout, blending Detroit ghettotech and Chicago house influences with modern energy. After years of overwhelming listener demand, Former City Records has finally answered the call with a limited run of 12” ECO vinyl pressings, featuring six fan-favorite tracks from the original release.
Each record is pressed in unique, eco-friendly colors, making every copy one-of-a-kind. This special edition is part of an extremely small batch distributed to just a few carefully selected record shops worldwide — and we’re honored to be one of them.
