Sometimes the most powerful stroke is the one you don’t make. If you find yourself “fiddling” with a small corner for an hour, step back. Walk out of the room. A painting needs room to breathe, and so do you⭕️👁️
Italy ➡️ London.👁️
Visiting the National Portrait Gallery was a non-negotiable for me. Seeing the masterpieces that first inspired me to pick up a brush is surreal. It reminds me that art is a cycle: you soak in the inspiration of the masters, then you go out and plant your seed everywhere you go. 🎨⭕️
There’s a quiet beauty to Venice that feels almost unreal. As an artist, it’s the perfect place to wander, to observe, to be inspired. Walking these timeless streets as an artist, I’m reminded that my voice, my vision, and my presence have a place everywhere I go.
Survival has a way of turning everyday objects into sacred artifacts. After experiencing homelessness in New York City, I held onto a few select items. Not out of necessity, but as a compass. They remind me of the grit it took to survive and the vision it takes to keep moving forward.
These Adidas Top Tens have seen the concrete of my darkest nights and the cobblestones of my current travels through Europe. They are the shoes that carried me through the fire and now walk with me through my dreams. I created this piece to honor that journey and to remind every dreamer that no matter how dark the day, you must pursue your path with every ounce of your soul.
I navigate the world with the instinct of a spider.
A spider doesn’t go to school to learn how to weave; the geometry is written in its DNA. Similarly, the drive to create is an internal compass that doesn’t require outside validation.
Artist in residency at @lamaisondebeaumont ⭕️
It is a profound honor to return to the South of France for my residency at @lamaisondebeaumont . There is a specific kind of magic here that fuels my practice, and I’m eager to dive back into a season of intentional creation.
I am so grateful to @artontheavenyc for making this residency possible. Your continued support means the world to me and provides the perfect foundation for this next chapter of work. Time to get to work! ⭕️🤞🏽
