The Ministry of Sound Classical tour was a moment! Performing with an orchestra will never not be epic - especially when led by the legend @david_mahoney . Enjoy some highlights - and trust me, DON'T MISS THE LAST CLIP. 😉 First rehearsal, I was still on crutches post-surgery, but there's no way I was sitting this out. Zero regrets. Getting to play iconic songs at equally renowned venues and festivals like the Royal Albert Hall, Silverstone, Englefield, Gone Wild and more, gave some real core memories (even if I was hopping around on one leg at times). GRATITUDE IS A MUST!! Aside from a few more aches and pains, the overwhelming feeling this time of year brings is gratitude. Another beautiful year complete. I am blessed. Blessed with family (my wife @ibienewarmann is actually a gift from God), friends and community. Blessed with health, wealth (though we're going higher) and purpose. THIS WAS A MOMENT!! For an evening at least, I was able to feel like I was part of the Bond franchise. I've always loved performing with a big band, and when it's a 25-piece curated by the legendary @thesoundhouseband , it becomes the stuff of dreams! Furthermore, I was blessed to perform this with my actual brother @okiemofficial on lead keys (yeah, mamma was proud), which we don't get to do often enough. I hope you can take a moment to watch the whole performance. This photo (slide 1) means a lot to me - not just because it kinda looks cool - but because it's a reminder of something I deeply value: integrity! Back story (in a nutshell) is that the bride had told me years ago - long before the groom showed up - that she dreamed of me singing, 'Beyond' by @leonbridges at her wedding. I promised that I would. Fast forward 6 years, and the big day arrived...3.5 weeks after I had to have reconstructive knee surgery. Most people thought I was crazy to travel (they may have had a point), but with some determination, airport assistance, and magic rub from @rossjbarrclinic I made it to Puglia, Italy - and kept my word. I sang her down the aisle, just like I said I would. This isn't a brag. It's kind of a love letter to the idea that if you say you're going to do something, then do it - especially when it matters to others. The song was only a few seconds in time, but a lifetime memory. Thank you to @taimarbc for trusting me with such a beautiful moment. It was an honour to share it with you and your loved ones. I pray that your marriage to @lucaberri will be even more breathtaking than the wedding day. REHAB UPDATE... First up, thank you to ALL of you who have reached out or even held a positive thought for me over the last 10 weeks. As promised, I wanted to give an update. After an early set back (I had to go back to hospital because of a hematoma), and losing 9kgs (😲),  I'm pleased to say that there's good progress. It's not without pain or challenge, but that's no surprise. The thread on the original post continues to serve as a source of strength (as do the playlists created from it), and so I thank you again. The Word, positivity, and community really do always win! Watch this space for more updates when beast mode gets activated! Stay blessed y'all.

Ya boy needs YOU! 🫵🏾 [READ CAPTION] Happy New Month by the way. I'll get to it. It was a rough end to April as I underwent reconstructive knee surgery. The daily realisation of the long road back has been challenging at times so I decided to reframe my perspective: the goal is no longer to 'get back', but to get 'beyond' everything I was. The competitive side of me finds the new destination more motivating. So how does this involve you, right? Simply, I'd love for you to be part of this 9 or so month recovery journey. I mean, life is always sweeter in collaboration with others, and I had an idea that requires YOU to do any or all of the following: 1. SONG RECOMMENDATION: I'll be creating at least 2 playlists - one for when I'm back in the gym/physio and another of just praise and worship to set my atmosphere. Send me a tune or two that you think should feature! 2. SCRIPTURE: What are your favourite scriptures on healing, God's love, patience, determination and so on? I want to build a library of promises to stand on and scriptures to declare/pray with. Share what you've been enjoying in your quiet time. 3. WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: If you have one, it'd be cool to gather a few. Testimonies. Wisdom. All welcome. 4. PRAYER: This always underpins everything so, if you are so inclined, please remember ya boy in prayer. BUCKET LIST MOMENT!! 🪣 📝 Like most musicians, I've always dreamed of recording at Abbey Road Studios. And like most people, I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU 🙌🏾). So for both worlds to collide was truly a double-double blessing. Not only was I able to lend my vocals to the Deadpool & Wolverine blockbuster, my @thesoundhouseband team were tasked with curating a 10 person choir, adding some spice to the epic remake of Madonna's, 'Like A Prayer' (listen out in the movie). It was day at the office like no other!
