As a sustainability consultant, I had the privilege of being invited to join a distinguished group of sustainability experts, government representatives, influential figures from the pharmaceutical and food industries, and, notably, indigenous individuals from various corners of the globe. Our collective purpose is to engage in ideation and find effective solutions to address pressing global challenges. The gathering brings together a diverse range of expertise and perspectives, fostering a collaborative environment where we can collectively tackle the complex issues at hand. By leveraging our collective knowledge and experiences, we aim to develop innovative strategies that promote sustainability and drive positive change. About two years ago, while waking through charing cross and discussing some sustainability and political issues with my friend, she said; Canon let’s all stop deceiving ourselves, we cannot achieve any of the Sustainable Development Goals by #SDGs by 2030. . That hit me real hard, but I could completely relate to all she said. . She went on to ask, Is anyone even calculating the volume of Carbon emission generated from the numerous bombshells from wars around and across the world? -Why will some of the biggest polluters in the world, like China and Russia be so carefree as to not attend #COP26 ? -The number is out-of-school children keeps rising as more children become displaced refugees. -Peace and Justice seems far fetched, and unattainable by 2030 as we see more wars in recent times. . We talked about a lot more issues, but it all created in me the need for an amplified effort.
