People stare because it’s something they don’t see every day, the difference is how you do it. It comes down to curiosity vs. respect, and honestly I personally would rather you ask than guess from across the room. @ottobock
Most people think the hard part is learning to walk again but no one talks about the maintenance behind it. Sweat, volume changes, hygiene, backup towels in my bag at all times! It’s an essential routine just to make sure everything stays secure and comfortable.

Phantom pain happens because the brain still has a “map” of the missing limb. It affects many amputees and can lessen with a healthy lifestyle, hydration and desensitizing the limb! My brain however is just waiting to be updated. What questions do you have!

Finland’s first prosthetic running clinic took place on April 25 in Helsinki 🇫🇮🏃♂️
Organized by the Finnish Paralympic Committee, Ottobock and Respecta, the Freedom to Move event gave many participants their first chance to try a sports prosthesis — enabling running, jumping and new movement experiences.
Led by Running Clinic Coach and former Para athlete @phwas and supported by experts on site, the event created an inspiring space to explore new possibilities through movement 🦾💙
