I’m really excited to announce that I will run the New York City Marathon as a member of the ✨Run for CityParks Play team✨
City Parks Foundation works to make parks vibrant centers of community through sports, arts, and environmental programs across all five boroughs of New York.
The funds I’m raising will go toward free sports programs for kids; things like tennis, golf, and soccer, as well as initiatives like Girls Forward.
So it’s really about giving kids access to spaces where they can play, grow, and be part of a community, completely for free.

I used to believe movement had to be earned.

Don’t feel bad if you also pushed yourself too far… Hindsight is 20/20
Months after the Tokyo Marathon, I finally see that, even though it was an incredible experience, it was not worth putting my body through months of recovery (pre and post). But I had to learn this lesson the hard way, and now I am grateful for being able to continue my running journey with a little more wisdom and a lot of patience:)

Lately running feels harder than usual, and sometimes it’s not easy to lace my shoes when I know my performance is not gonna be what I want… but this is because I forget why I started: to prove to myself that I am stronger than I think, that I can put myself through discomfort and come out the other side stronger. And there is no tangible metric for it, but you know it when you do 🫶
So if you are also struggling, and feel unmotivated because you don’t see any progress, remember that there is a previous version of you that wouldn’t have even tried.
So you are making progress, and your consistency will pay off eventually.
