Introducing the burned cookie chair - a new piece from otra objects
Dimensions: 750×580×550
Hand-carved from solid Spanish chestnut, burned cookie has a strong, sculptural presence without feeling overworked. The surface is lightly charred, giving it a deep black tone and a subtle, tactile texture that highlights the natural grain.
Its curved back wraps gently around the seat, creating a sense of enclosure while keeping the form open and balanced.
A hard wax oil finish seals the wood, adding durability and a soft, low sheen. Each piece carries small variations from the making process, making it as much a functional chair as a one-off object.

Always having fun in the workshop
New table available from amber which is carved to match the contours of the granite block. The aluminium element supports the slab within a routed channel.

The practice of hand carving large surfaces is an exercise in patience. My recent carved table piece entitled “massif” features a fully hand carved and charred surface on all sides.
It was a labour of love.
Massif is available for purchase as a table set with 3 matching stools. Pricing is by request or by visiting our website.
