On this #nationalsiblingday I’d like to highlight the artwork of my amazing sister Stefanie Boyd-Berks (@_sozelle ). She makes these incredible embroidered paintings by hand. She inspires me endlessly. Oh and it’s her birthday tomorrow!
Stef was also responsible for much of the amazing design work that came out of Otherwild in the last couple of years.

Yesterday we shut the lights for the last time at our beautiful home of 1768 N Vermont Ave. This video breaks my heart a little bit, but as cliche as it is- when one door closes, another one opens.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what Otherwild is beyond retail, and how it might exist in the future as a platform for conversation, curation, mutual aid, programming and more. Shout out to my dear @likemindedobjects for initiating these thoughts and ideas. I don’t exactly know what that looks like right now, but I’m excited to take the time to find out.
