Podcast 31 - Jayson Wynters Jayson Wynters is “a tough artist to pin down” (FACT) and he likes it that way. Since debuting on mentor Mr G’s Phoenix G label with Unfamiliar Territories – a thumping series of late-night, analogue workouts – the producer and DJ has ventured in many directions. One minute he’s on a deep excursion at Berghain or Free Rotation Festival and the next … he’s in a gallery presenting a talk about storytelling in reggae music. Or curating culture at multi-concept space Artum, which he co-founded in Birmingham. His releases for labels such as Delsin and Don’t Be Afraid oscillate between house and techno, pressing the outer limits of electronic music. But he’ll never stop drawing on other influences such as sound system, soul, jazz, hip-hop and martial arts. Wynters’ sets can be forceful and intense but also meditative, putting dancers in an ecstatic flow state. And always with a meticulous approach to craft, just like his productions. LINK IN BIO. Podcast 28 - Yuzo Iwata Since 2011, Yuzo Iwata has been organizing the FLOPPY event series at Precious Hall in Sapporo. He relocated to Berlin in 2016, where he has continued to expand his activities as a DJ and producer. In 2018, he released his first EP Kiteki on the Berlin-based label Pluie/Noir, followed in 2022 by his debut album Kaizu on Butter Sessions, the Melbourne label run by Sleep D. In 2026, he contributed the track “Yukimushi” to Butter Sessions’ 15th anniversary compilation, marking his first new release in three years and eight months. Alongside his work at the record shop Sound Metaphors, Yuzo constantly digs through a wide spectrum of music, both new and old, continuously refining and updating his own style. In Berlin, he has played extensively at key venues such as Panorama Bar and Säule at Berghain, Globus at Tresor, Ohm, and Club der Visionaere. Podcast 26 - 10.000 BC 10.000 BC is the alias of Berlin-based DJ and @defaultbox label head Patrick, who has been active behind the decks since 2001. Growing up in a suburban town close to Berlin, he discovered electronic music early - thanks to the mixtapes of legendary clubs like E-Werk and Tresor from his brothers or the recordings of the iconic radio broadcast “Rave Satellite”. Over the years Patrick has played at numerous clubs and events in and around Berlin. His sets are strictly vinyl-only, reflecting his deep-rooted love for the raw physical side of DJing. Podcast 25 - ROTCIV Victor has been clubbing since the early 90s and playing regularly in most clubs and raves in his native Brazil since 1996, started to produce music as ROTCIV for different labels and launches Mister Mistery in 2008, a label focused on Acid, Disco, House, Trance, Electro and Edits with classic influences from 80s and 90s and with a truly contemporary edge and unique sound. In 2010 he moves to Berlin where he is frequently DJing at the most exciting clubs and parties - From Berghain’s all different floors (Panorama Bar, Lab.oratory, Säule and Kantine) to being a regular in the hottest parties in town for years, such as Cocktail D’ Amore, Pornceptual, Kater, Oxy, Watergate, Buttons, Sisyphos, Renate, Else, About Blank, Schwuz, Ipse and many more thought-out the years. Podcast 24 - DJ Slugo From the beginning, Thomas “DJ Slugo” Kendricks was influenced by his cousin, DJ Geno, a member of a local Chicago hot mix group, and other local icons such as the Hot Mix 5 (of Chicago radio). With 20+ years in the game, over 20 albums in his pocket and over 50 CDs on the street, began a journey that lead him to become one of the original creators of a style of music commonly known as Ghetto House, more recently regarded as Juke. DJ Slugo has been performing since the early 1990’s as a founding member of Chicago’s infamous Dance Mania label, along with co-conspirators Paul Johnson and DJ Deeon. Slugo is world-reknown for his hits including, Wouldn’t You Like to be a Hoe Too, A Blunt, Godzilla Track, Where the Rats, and many more. Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most respected DJs, she is a founder and long time resident of the legendary Bad Dog parties and has played everywhere from Sydney Mardi Gras to Rio Carnival. She released a double CD mix with house music pioneer Frankie Knuckles and has shared line ups with some of the most influential DJs in the world. Annabelle regularly plays both locally and internationally, including frequent sets at Panorama Bar in Berlin. Her sound is fearless and ever evolving. A funk infused blend shaped by a deep love of techno, deep house, disco, hip hop, punk, funk and rock, and everything in between. Shaped by her Portuguese upbringing, she carries a natural sensitivity to rhythm, movement and emotion, digging across time, tempo and tone, always responding to the energy of the room and the people in it. Known for crafting moments that resonate long after the night ends, Annabelle has recently returned to the studio and is currently working on original material scheduled for release later this year. Podcast 22 - New Digital Fidelity Paolo Aniello, known as New Digital Fidelity (NDF), is a London-based producer and DJ originally from Bari, Southern Italy. Influenced from an early age by Deep House and Detroit House, his sound blends timeless groove, machine-driven soul, and forward-thinking production. His career began in 2011 with a vinyl release on the German label Strictly Chosen under the alias Peter JD. He later co-founded a Detroit techno label alongside long-time collaborator Nico Lahs, working with foundational artists such as Scan 7, Pacou, and Terrence Dixon. After relocating to London in 2017, NDF debuted his New Digital Fidelity project on the historic German imprint Snuff Trax.
