@joby.carter Signwriters had an open day today. Who would have thought watching someone very skilled at painting lines was quite so satisfying!

It’s been a busy time of year, one project I’d like to show is the new identity for the biannual Od Arts Festival taking place 23-25 May 2025. Taking a very early drawing of an Ouroboros following the circular motion of the theme Thinking in Circles. This year’s festival is dedicated to supporting and engaging with contemporary artistic practice and community activity that explores cycles of growth, production, and consumption. Curators of the festival @simonleedicker @strawberrypunnett and @cst_rogers Check out @odartsfest a project by @osrprojects Supported using public funding by @aceagrams @heritagefunduk

Od Arts Festival returned, Friday 26 May to Sunday 28 May 2023, and was a packed programme of art and community activity! The festival takes its name from the Od: [Od pronounced Odd] a crooked stream that meanders through the neighbouring villages of East and West Coker, Somerset, UK. Led by Coker-based OSR Projects, Od Arts Festival 2023 – Still & still moving, takes its title from T.S Eliot’s poem East Coker, the second of his famous Four Quartets: …Love is most nearly itself When here and now cease to matter. Old men ought to be explorers Here or there does not matter We must be still and still moving Into another intensity For a further union, a deeper communion.   The festival disrupted the surface stillness of its rural setting with art and creative community activity. I created the festival brand identity and designed all the materials that supported the festival; festival guide, signage, adverts, interpretation boards, t shirts, totes, website and graphics for the short film by @_liberty_smith_ @odartsfest @osrprojects The festival was curated by @simonleedicker and @fieldnotesonart

Hello, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on here. So here’s a photo of me in my happy place wandering around Venice with superb dear friends and indulging in all of the art. I’ve updated my website and taking commissions for next year so if I can help you with branding or any design work for your next exhibition or publication please do get in touch, Chantelle 😊 #graphicdesigner #freelance #artgallery #theatre #culture #museum 📷 @andy_parker_studio

So this is what we’ve been working on for the past year (s) Od Arts Festival 👏🏼🎉🥳Online and across East Coker and West Coker, Somerset - 28-30 May 2021 Digital programme continues until 6 June. We are delighted to announce the return of Od Arts Festival this May! We’ll bring exhibitions, performances, film and workshops by local and international artists to not-so-sleepy Somerset. New and specially-sited artworks will pop up around the villages of East Coker and West Coker: in cafes, halls, houses, chapels and fields, and also online in a special digital programme. Devised before the hiatus of the global pandemic, the guiding theme for the festival of ‘Alone with Everybody’, explores loneliness – what it is, how we continue to experience it, where it comes from, and how it might be addressed. A programme of playful, experimental and performative artworks will probe different aspects of aloneness, and ask how it might be liberating as well as difficult to be alone. Od Arts Festival 2021 is co-curated by Simon Lee Dicker, founding Director of OSR Projects and Vickie Fear, Curator/Programme Manager at Aspex, Portsmouth. Vickie says: “Our theme, Alone with Everybody has a whole new set of resonances from when we originally planned the festival. We’ve had to rethink some aspects of the programme and alongside making physical works safe and accessible, we are excited to extend the presentation of digital work to allow people to experience Od without needing to travel. The artists explore a range of themes: from going off-grid and choosing to be alone, to the struggles and challenges of being or feeling isolated - something we’ve experienced in different ways during Covid-19. Whether visiting in person or joining us online, I hope everyone will feel a part of this shared experience of contemporary art in rural Somerset.” The full programme of events and workshops will be announced shortly. In the meantime, find out more about the 25 artists taking part by visiting: odartsfestival.co.uk @odartsfest We look forward to seeing you – on or off-screen – this May! The Od Arts Festival team (Simon, Vickie, Chantelle & Rowan)
