This (excellent, visually dynamic) @nytmag article shows how the "discovery of a third circulatory system could transform our understanding of how the human body works."🩻 🕸️ It references a 2002 study through which 💚 Osher Research Director Helene M. Langevin and Jason Yandow mapped the locations of acupuncture points in the arms💪 to the fascia between and around muscles. 🕸️ It's thrilling to consider how this understanding "may also change how we view our own bodies in relation to other biological systems," an important concept in #integrativehealth & #wholehealth & #planetaryhealth, and how it could lead to advancements in healthcare quality--while lowering costs. 🕸️ 🌳 We are living systems, living in a living system!🌳 🕸️ @oshercollaborative @universityofvermont @uvmhealthandwellbeing @UVMHealth /interactive/2026/05/11/magazine/interstitium-anatomy-acupuncture-medicine.html?searchResultPosition=1

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 We’re celebrating by (digitally) flipping through the newly published Planetary Health Resources Guide [link in bio], which we worked on with our colleagues across the @oshercollaborative , as a companion to a poster being presented at the @imconsortium 2026 Annual Congress 🌏 Wow, does it give hope! 🎈In it, you’ll find information and links to the organizations and initiatives across the U.S. and globe that are addressing the #climatecrisis with scientific rigor, multidisciplinary collaboration, and passion. We are inspired to take action to protect and care for our home.🌎#integrativehealth #planetaryhealth
