We won the Best Picture Award at the @nikonfilmfestival Benelux. The awards ceremony took place last Thursday in Utrecht, and our film Endless Void [Oneindige Leegte in Dutch] won. 📽️
Endless Void follows 28-year-old Dutch fashion designer Willemijn Roebroek in her inner quest to come to terms with sexual abuse. She depicts this process in a self-designed look. As a final step, Willemijn decides to capture this creation in the desolate landscape of Iceland. Director Wilke Geurds follows Willemijn during this process, in which she is not only the creator, but also wears her own design. In conversations, Willemijn reflects on what the creation has brought her and how the inner demon of guilt continues to haunt her, but can sexual violence ever be the victim’s fault?
