Here is an even nerdier guitar post than most of my nerdy-ness. I’ve been talking to people about how I use the @rjmmusictechnology PBC10 switcher on my pedal board so I made a quick (really quick) video showing pieces of the parts I play on the song You Oughta Know and the presets that go along with them. I made it while I was digging into these @friedman_amps IR-X and IR-D pedals I got recently so those are the “amps” you’re hearing. I have them set at an edge of breakup kind of sound and then adding gain from my board. *careful watching if you are triggered by a guitar player attempting to use and understand midi 🤓🫣¡Larga vida a los nerds del equipo!

Getting to know this beautiful @novoguitars Serus J and also this incredible @dsmhumboldt Dumblifier pedal. I’ll post something better than using the iPhone mic but, wow. I don’t see myself ever owning a Dumble so this box is really amazing for getting as close as I can to that sound. I’m running it into the effects return of a Peavey Classic 30 so it’s basically an EL84 Dumble sound I guess? I know, so nerdy. And the Novo is spectacular. Stays in tune VERY well, even when using the tremolo bar. Such a well made instrument.

What do you play when your guitar comes back from the shop? Yesterday it was this. I’ve had this @gibson LP Special for years. It’s a ‘97 and came with P100s but it’s now loaded with @fralinpickupsofficial quiet P90s that sound great. My pal @pharaohhowell dialed in the bridge for me and I also had him make a new tortoise pick guard, because I’m nerdy. 🤓 Now it feels “new” without buying another guitar! Super lightweight too. Love it.
