I had a great couple of days painting a window for @therangeuk along the Essex Pride March route! The mural celebrates the twinning of Chelmsford and Backnang and is filled with elements of Straßenfest and Essex pride, it captures the spirit of both cities and the upcoming celebrations on the weekend of June 22nd. I am most grateful to Backnang based designer Hellmut Bomm for allowing me to use his Straßenfest design as a basis to create the design. There’s a really important message in this image. I worked with the ideas of the Womens’ Safety Group. I took so much from the concept that "Safety is not the absence of threat, it is the presence of connection". I represented a connection from a male head to the female which symbolises making improvements to womens' safety through male empathy and education. In a utopian representation, our community is presented as a floral pattern of labyrinths around the two silhouettes. This serves to remind us that when we all work together we can achieve so much. #womenssafety #feminism #chelmsford #community #art #illustration

I was so excited to take a trip up to Newcastle by train (and trusty bike 🚲) to spend a few days painting for @talesonthetynetrail . This is my third time painting for an art trail, and it just keeps getting better and better 🥰 A huge thank you to my sponsor Clear business Outcome for choosing my design, and to @wildinart for the gorgeous rabbit 🐰 and support throughout. I had an absolute blast working in one of the best painting spaces - @quorum_park I was blessed with perfect weather, and Newcastle is such an amazing place — I’ll definitely be back. Can’t wait to reveal my final design and really hope he brings lots of joy to families this summer and helps raise plenty of money for @stoswaldsuk 💛
