So.. end of the coolest session in a while, @orgonsystems literally took the roof off the barn with vibes & wizardry of his own machines. There ain’t nothing better than seeing somebody put the rubber on the road & wheel spin their own machines!! - it’s what it’s all about x
When you get on stage for the 1st time in 30 years performing live with the ENIGISER synthesiser you made and released 28 years ago …
And then sing and perform live the GFX Eternal track you wrote and released in 1990 …
And then the crowd gives you this response . . . 😋

Way back in 1988 wearing this same acid house t-shirt and carrying this Casio keyboard along with a pink plastic milk crate filled with a MC202 and a 606 drum machine. I turned up at surfers nightclub in Tynemouth on the coast of Newcastle to play a gig that would change the whole direction of my life.
Little did I know that 36 years later I would be about to play a gig on August 9th @goldengigtodmorden which is one of the most special and unique venues in the UK along with @absolutebegin , Andy Hanley, @whathefreak and @lena_y_a_c who are some of the most legendary creative artists around and I am absolutely buzzing and up for playing part in what I think is going to be one of those mad nights where everything magical is possible.

THE ENIGISER IS GOING EURORACK 💥
I designed this ENIGISER FILTER for EURORACK in 1998. Fuck knows why it has took me until 2024 to get it ready for production. But here is the first pre-production one back and as one of our customers quoted “it is like liquid psychedelia” 😊
So all we got to do now is get the front panel to match the iconic ENIGISER then we are going into production big style.

Just digging through some old photos and found this of me age 26 writing the ENIGISER manual in 1996 on my kitchen table with one of my kids fisher price tape cassettes as an amplifier, a borrowed laptop from my brothers work and Simons regal king size tabs to keep us going. I always knew there was magic and power in that silver box I had made but could never have imagined that almost 30 years later I would be still selling them, selling them to some of my favourite musicians and performing and making music with them. Thank you ☺️

MAGIC002 RELEASE INFO: G.F.X. - Eternal
Magic Ritmo is overjoyed to announce our second release, a fully licensed reissue of ‘G.F.X. - Eternal’. An unbelievably spiritually deep record that has transcended from it’s original birthplace in Newcastle in the 90s, to now gaining cult status among veteran ravers, record collectors and those who are allured by the spiritual and ethereal quality the record embodies.
G.F.X. is the alias of Geoff Waterston, a musician, producer and engineer from the coastal town of Whitley Bay, North East England. G.F.X. was born from a youth spent tampering with electronics, taping drum beats off the radio and resourcefully discovering his creativity. Active through the late 80s and early 90s acid house movement that swept through the UK, G.F.X. quickly became a name spotted on the line up of many nights that were popping up across the North east, as the area began to receive their first transfusion of acid house. Amongst the often undocumented north east acid house story lay whispers of legendary parties where youths gathered to escape the mundane. Most fondly spoken of, was Middlesbrough’s ‘Butter Loggie’, a bizarre sounding party that grew to crowds as big 10,000 in what was a community centre by day and rave by night. Geoff recalls calls the impact and ferality of the event, a wild and loose party where the soundsystem shook through your bones at the touch of his keys. These early experiences provided Geoff with his first glimpses of spirituality, which provided much of the inspiration behind the EP’s title track ‘Eternal’.
"Eternal was a snapshot of a time when an opening up of alternative lifestyles, spirituality, political activism and music were creating an overall sense of freedom and separation from mainstream society.

We really didn’t want to comment much on this situation as while it’s incredible people still love the ENIGISER to have people take someone else’s creative designs without consent is not in the spirit of innovation or good human behaviour.
However on the back of that the new hugely expanded ENIGISER X is now for sale along side the ORIGINAL ENIGISER so you now have a choice to buy either synthesiser from its original source.

Welcome to the ENIGISER X which has all the same amazing features of the original ENIGISER plus It’s almost twice the size now to accommodate all these new following features:
*Modulation buss is now fully connected up to jack sockets on the front panel.
*The envelope generators all have front panel outputs.
*The LFO has front panel outputs.
*The oscillator has waveform outputs on the front panel, plus a separate noise generator and modulated sawtooth wave.
*The oscillator also has linear fm modulation inputs on the front panel.
*It also features exponential fm inputs and an oscillator sync input as well.
*The filter has a separate audio input and a separate filter audio output.
*The filter also has a brand new feature included on it. This feature effectively doubles the amount of filter responses taking the total number of individual responses to 30.
*It also features a bypass control which allows you to progressively bypass the filter. This control is a massive innovation on the original ENIGISER filter.
*The VCA also features a separate audio input.
*Another new feature is the envelope follower, this generates control voltages and gate signals from audio signals. It features attack and release controls for the shaping of the envelope. There is also a threshold control and positive and negative envelope outputs plus a gate extraction output. These controls are very similar in operation to a compressor or gate. Great for making compression, ducking, gating and envelope following effects on either the internal synth, external synth or audio from your DAW. 🔥
