Playing tonite at the excellent @crownkensington to ease the tension of today’s London streets .. on a later train than needed to avoid footy n marching chainmail clad patriots but train is cancelled at Crewe ( see pic 2 ) @cromteq 😂😂Pic three is a design mishap after i mentioned the footy . @debralwilliams in attendance and we are on pint 3 and still technically up north .. but we will forge ahead . Up close with @wally_badarou_official@theyard_mcr last night . Second track was Fisherman from Trilogy Tapes ( you tube or vinyl only ) but have a listen .. it hooked me in straight away .. @bewithrecords have an ace album out by him .. countless records with his fingerprints on .. but i first came across him via TomTomClub and a few years later seeing his name on Grace Jones and all things Compass Point .. then there’s Echoes and Padlock FFS ❤️❤️. Shook his precious hand after and kept it straight n polite after really blowing my chance to say what i really meant to Mr Fingers and focusing on the ebay value of his digits a couple of years ago .. i was very drunk 😂.. Top heartwarming night from Wally.. Lovely energy . His keyboards have always added an otherworldly measure to any music he’s touched . There is a distinct lack of his music on streamers but one thing i never knew was that he was behind M Pop Musik . It’s been in my house a lifetime !
