PAIN MAGAZINE RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM: ‘VIOLENT GOD’ out today !! When two worlds collide, the result can be dangerous. @painmagazineband was born from the unexpected meeting of two bands from radically different scenes: France’s @birdsinrow (post-hardcore figures, with singer / songwriter Quentin Sauvé @quentin_sauve ) and the Franco-American duo @le_maelstrom and @louisahhh , spearheads of abrasive electronica. ‘Violent God’ is about survival in today’s world. The album tackles mental illness, systemic exploitation, addiction, and the quest for redemption head-on. The title track questions faith and guilt, ‘Dead Meat’ dissects toxic relationships, ‘Weak and Predatory’ attacks predatory capitalism, and ‘Magic’ examines the spiral of addiction. There is no romanticization here: the subjects are treated with lucidity. MAELSTROM AT VILLA KUJOYAMA 🇯🇵 : HIS RESIDENCY IN JAPAN! 1 - @le_maelstrom , electronic music composer and producer, but also researcher, invents dialogues between digital technologies and musical creativity. He was in residency at @villa_kujoyama (Kyoto, Japan) for 4 months, for a music research project around Mid-0. 2 - Introduced in the 1980s by Japanese firm Roland, the Mid-0 Series of electronic musical instruments is still used in popular music worldwide. Maël Péneau’s project highlights the role of these instruments and their design, as well as study the conditions that led to their creation from a historical, social and cultural perspective. 3 - Probably just after « [meeting] Fumio Mieda (Korg), Tadao Kikumoto (Roland), and other engineers who invented legendary instruments such as the MS-20 and the TR-808. » 4 - Learn more about Maelstrom’s researches : his first book is out, published by Classiques Garnier : « Beatmaking in Dakar. Orage is extremely excited and proud to represent the French duo @codeformusic (Jérémie Arcache + Leonardo Ortega), for original music compositions in film & TV projects.    Code aims to act as a bridge between the worlds of classical and pop. Their common goal: To take the classical orchestra out of the clichés in which it is trapped, or which it traps itself. But also, to bring classical musicians into the creative spirit of today’s music while maintaining a high standard of writing for the arrangements so that everyone can find their place in them. “Phonographies” is their recording series, in which classical repertoire, contemporary orchestral music and contemporary music meet. Each Phonographie is a recording of a work from the classical repertoire for solo instrument. This single encapsulates an emotional urgency and a melancholic beauty with a punk attitude that is becoming the signature of Pain Magazine.  « It’s about waking up to an addictive relationship crumbling, the feeling of being sick and tired of being sick and tired, » says lyricist and vocalist Louisahhh. The declaration « I’m done with your emotional labor/thought that was love but not anymore » echoes writer Audre Lorde’s examination of gendered emotional burden—though relationship dysfunction transcends such boundaries. Orage is extremely excited and proud to represent PAIN MAGAZINE, a new project combining two acts, with their first single ‘Violent God’ On one side, hailing from the industrial techno scene, Franco-American techno-punk duo @le_maelstrom and @louisahhh . On the other, from the world of post-hardcore comes French trio @birdsinrow , internationally known for their ferocious, emotionally charged performances and scathing lyrics, fearlessly speaking truth to power.  The first single ‘Violent God’ combines the heavy, raucous instrumentals of Birds in Row with the focused, machine-driven sensibilities for which Maelstrom is known and Louisahhh’s unhinged roaring.
