I’ve been quietly working on something special these past weeks… and, I finally get to share a glimpse of my final artwork for the Sincretismo Digital Art Residency 2025 ⚜️
‘cicloviriditerra’ — a visual tapestry that weaves together Mexico’s ancient past, colonial histories, and living modern cultural tradition into one cycle of life.
is a work born from the meeting of two lands: Indonesia and Mexico. From crowded composition, mythical atmospheres, and deep reverence for storytelling, to the dynamism & symbolism of modern Mexican murals, blended through the core of Mexico as a surreal mecca.
I wanted the piece to feel like a meeting point between two artistic worlds, my Indonesian intricacy and Mexican energy merging in one shared dream. Honored the essence of syncretism itself.
In Cicloviriditerra,
every flower remember, every creature’s guides,
and the soil itself breathes.
It’s a landscape of becoming.
Like a visual poem of syncretism, not only between cultures but within ourselves. 🤍
